It’s Wednesday. And while this week is short, I feel like I already need a pick-me-up since starting back at work (after a month off!). What generally works is either reading some magazines, watching a fun documentary or movie, or playing around on Pinterest. Today, I need all three!
I love Pinterest. My Pinterest is my favorite. I’ve made boards about my favorite things: Kate Middleton, clothes, fashion shows, Gossip Girl, my beloved J. Crew vests, and food. Pinterest answers all of my questions: what should I eat for dinner? Should I go ombre with my hair? (<–yes!), & what should I wear to work today? Even if I don’t exactly copy an outfit or recipe, I always find something fun that helps me decide.
Since it’s so cold in NYC, I have little motivation to leave my apartment and lots of reason to watch movies & catch up on television. Yesterday, I watched The September Issue for the umpteenth time. It’s about Anna Wintour, Vogue, and the assembly of the yearly fashion bible–the September Issue. But it’s also about what Anna has done for fashion during her reign and basically just how amazing she is. The other heroine of the documentary is Grace Coddington, and I’m currently reading her memoir and she’s also amazing. I could watch this documentary over and over and still not get enough.
What do you do for a little pick-me-up to get over the Wednesday woes?
